Employee Problems - Don't let a insubordinate worker ruin your bottom

See how easily you can discipline a bad employee ... and fire if needed. Form and sample letters.

Don't let a insubordinate worker ruin your bottom line. Workers are dismissed for many reasons. Go over any written notice notices or letters that management has provided to the employee in the recent past about these issues. In Chapters 2 and 3, you get a listing of reasons for firing or laying off a worker. After the fired worker has left, then you must meet with her coworkers to let them know. Also the boss should give this feedback in a professional way proving that he or she did not provoke the circumstance. A second type of employee insubordination is foul or abusive language which a manager can't tolerate in the workplace. If a jobholder receives a termination notice, it should not be a shock, but rather should give the jobholder an opportunity to nod in understanding. There is no guarantee the former employee won't try to file a improper layoff legal action. Although it won't help much in a job search, you must still write a letter of recommendation when an ex-worker requests it. Document each meeting and explain the corrective actions the employee must take.

Abusive language used by workforce directed toward supervisors or managers as well as other workers is also insubordination. Every business should have set ground rules and guidelines, and every worker should have a hard copy which discusses offenses that may result in immediate suspension or termination. Wrongful Conduct/ Whistle-Blowing/ Law suit. After presenting the plan, ask for any immediate questions and comments about the firm's future.
